Shopify & Commerce Development - Engineered for Conversion, Built to Scale
Our Shopify development services cover Shopify and Shopify Plus builds, replatforming from legacy carts, headless storefronts with Hydrogen or Next.js, custom app and checkout development, and integrations with ERP, PIM, and fulfillment systems - all engineered around conversion and page speed.
What We Deliver
Commerce is the least forgiving discipline on the web. Every extra step in checkout, every hundred milliseconds of latency, every ambiguous shipping message is measurable revenue leaving. Design and engineering decisions here have a price tag attached, and you can read it in your analytics. That's how we build: conversion path first, aesthetics in service of it, performance as a hard requirement.

Custom themes on Online Store 2.0, metaobject-driven content, B2B and wholesale, and multi-market/multi-currency setups for global sellers.
Replatforming
From Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or bespoke carts, with catalog and customer migration, URL redirect mapping, and SEO preservation.
Headless Storefronts
Hydrogen or Next.js front ends on the Storefront API, for brands needing fully custom experiences or content-heavy commerce.
Custom Apps and Checkout Extensibility
Shopify Functions, Checkout UI extensions, and private apps for logic the platform doesn't ship.
Integrations
ERP, PIM, 3PL and fulfillment, subscriptions, tax, and CRM.
Conversion Engineering
PDP and cart optimization, search and merchandising, and structured testing with our design studio.
The Performance Rule We Don't Bend
Every app you install adds JavaScript to pages your customers are trying to buy from. We audit the app stack as part of every engagement, remove what native functionality can replace, and hold a performance budget on the storefront. Store speed is a conversion feature, not an engineering vanity metric.
Where Stores Actually Lose Revenue
Conversion diagnosis is unglamorous. In our audits, the same handful of issues account for most of the recoverable revenue:
Mobile page speed. Commerce traffic is overwhelmingly mobile, and mobile latency correlates directly with abandonment. App-injected JavaScript is usually the largest contributor, and it's usually removable.
Checkout friction. Unnecessary fields, forced account creation, shipping costs revealed late, and payment methods your market expects but you don't offer. Every one of these is measurable in your funnel.
Product page gaps. Missing sizing detail, unclear delivery timing, ambiguous returns policy. Shoppers who can't resolve a doubt on the page resolve it by leaving.
Search that fails. Site search users convert at a substantially higher rate than browsers - and a search that returns nothing for a synonym of your own product name is a direct revenue loss.
Trust gaps. No reviews, unclear returns, no contact route. Especially costly for cross-border shoppers buying from an unfamiliar brand.
We audit against these first because they're cheap to fix relative to their impact - before recommending anything structural.
Losing sales you can't explain?
Speed, checkout friction, and app bloat reviewed - with the three fixes most likely to move revenue.
Global and Cross-Border Commerce
Selling internationally is where implementation quality shows. Markets and currencies with correct local pricing rather than live conversion; local payment methods, which frequently determine whether a market converts at all; duties and tax handled transparently at checkout rather than surprising the customer at delivery; localized content that reads natively rather than machine-translated; and hreflang and market routing done properly so search engines serve the right storefront.
Cross-border stores fail on the boring parts. Unexpected duties at delivery generate refund requests and negative reviews faster than almost any other operational mistake.
Replatforming Without Losing What You Have
A migration puts your existing revenue and rankings at risk, which is why the critical path is never the theme. It's the data and the redirects. Our sequence:
01
Data Mapping
Catalogue and customer data mapping with validation.
02
Redirect Map
A complete URL inventory and redirect map covering products, collections, and content.
03
Structured Data Parity
Structured data and metadata parity.
04
Integration Rebuild
Integration rebuild and testing in a staging environment.
05
Parallel Running
Parallel running where the platform allows.
06
Post-Launch Monitoring
Post-launch monitoring on rankings, crawl errors, and conversion for the first several weeks.
Traffic losses in replatforms are almost always redirect failures, and redirect failures are almost always the result of treating redirects as a launch-week task.
Frequently Asked Questions
Start with mobile page speed, checkout friction, product page completeness, and site search quality. In most audits these four account for the majority of recoverable revenue, and all four can be addressed without touching the overall design.
Redirects and data mapping - not the theme. A complete URL inventory mapped to new destinations before launch, plus metadata and structured data parity, is what protects the rankings and revenue you already have.
Standard Shopify covers most merchants well. Plus earns its cost with high volume, B2B needs, multiple storefronts or markets, checkout customization, and higher API limits. We'll size it honestly rather than upsell a tier you won't use.
Headless suits brands with heavy content-plus-commerce experiences, unusual UX requirements, or an existing front-end team. It adds complexity and cost, so for many merchants a well-built Online Store 2.0 theme performs just as well for less. The right answer depends on your team, not on the trend.
Most migrations run six to twelve weeks depending on catalog size, integrations, and content volume. The critical path is usually data mapping and redirects - the parts that protect the revenue and rankings you already have.
Not if redirects, URL structure, metadata, and structured data are planned before launch. Traffic losses in replatforms are nearly always the result of skipped redirect mapping, not the platform change itself.
